Agents of Shield Season 7: Will it reference Avengers: Endgame and MCU? |
But, this is not the original timeline, you know, the one from Seasons 1 through 5 are the one that's pretty much effective in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, well, at least the movie side of things. This will answer a lot of arguments. Since they announced that this season is set pre-snap that was done during Wonder-Con back in April and I think that is where they slipped and hinted that they were trying to set everything in a different timeline. They going to give us reasoning at some point. Then after Agents of Shield Season 7 is said and done they're going to find a way to join back in the main Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline.
Agents of Shield Season 7 is the end of Infinity Saga on Marvel Television |
During San Diego Comic-Con they sort of promised the they were going to reference Infinity war and reference and game and I know a lot of people got excited over that I know a lot of people do expect references flat-out references to both Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War on season 7 of the series.
General Glenn Talbot in Season 5 of Agents of Shield |
The Big Bad Thanos was name dropped in last episodes Season 5 |
We would have had never heard of any kind of reference to Infinity War if they were always supposed to save the world. In order for Infinity War to happen Graviton should never exist on Earth or destroy Earth creating the 2091 future. All of that should is contradictory when you think about it.
Snap from the Infinity Gauntlet had zero effect on Season 6 of Agents of Shield |
- You would have had no snap.
- You would have had no 2023 events of Avengers: Endgame.
- You'd not get any timeline changes.
Well, there are possibly multiple solutions to get out of that situation too.
YOU WONDERING? YOU WONDER? YOU!
Because it's different frickking timeline goddamnit!
The time-travel rules established by Avengers: Endgame, point us towards, you know, the Multiverse Theory. The creation of new timelines every time someone changes an event, that is "supposed" to happen in a given timeline.
Whatever the team did at the end of Season 5 did change things. It wasn't the same way that the Earth was. So you've got a ripple effect through time and these ripple effect through time might have affected what happened in Infinity War with or possibly going ahead. So yeah, what we've got over here, is definitely a different timeline. That's why Jeff Loeb was so cool about it during WonderCon. He said,
Talbot's arse high on Graviton, hell bent on destroying Earth |

We've got a logic about it. You just watch and enjoy and you're going to realize it by the end.
But on the other hand though Dude comes for taking over the planet by the Genocide and gathering six stone to the rule not just the Earth but to conquer the universe. But why didn't we get anybody snapped on Agents of Shield?
Anyway, The writers and producers were put on a tough spot where they were damned if they did something about it and they were damned if they didn't. Season 5 was supposed to be the last one for the series. and since it knew a few things about Avengers:Infinity War, They made us believe that its all connected. It most likely was till then. But do you remember the year gap between Infinity war and Endgame? Yeah that's the tough spot Producers and writers of Agents of Shield found themselves into, when they decided announce Season 6 and Season 7. They didn't know what they could do about the events following the snap. I mean the the last episode of season 6 aired 2 days before the release of Avengers: Endgame.
Luckily, the writers were able to find a loophole and travel back to 1930's, which will probably have to incorporate some it's own Time-travel rules. HA! Like that will solve the problems for them. Now since we got mere hours left till the release of Agents of Shield: Season 7, They just are left with the multiverse theory window to get themselves squeezed out of.
